    In the central part of the reverse are relief images of the fortress walls and towers of the Nizhny Novgorod Kremlin; above them is the 16th-century seal of Nizhny Novgorod: a deer, surrounded by a circular inscription: 'PECHAT' NOVAGORODA NISOVCKIA ZEMLI', at the top along the rim is the text: NIZHEGORODSKIY KREML', at the bottom is the date 'XVI v.'.
