    In the central part of the reverse, a relief image of expedition members against a background of a mountain plateau; to the right are the dates '1879' and '1880'; at the top left is a mountain goat, at the top right is a yak; at the bottom left is a Przewalski's horse, at the bottom right is an antelope. At the top along the circumference is the inscription: '1st TIBETAN EXPEDITION'.
