Statue of the Tauride Venus (Roman copy of the 1st-2nd centuries AD after an original by an ancient Greek sculptor of the 3rd century BC), on the left — a lekythos in the form of a sphinx (5th century BC), on the right — a sculptural portrait of the Roman Emperor Philip I the Arab (3rd century AD). Below along the rim — the text: NEW HERMITAGE separated by the date in an oval — '150', above it — the building of the New Hermitage.

In the upper part along the rim arc is the coin's denomination 'THREE RUBLES', slightly below on the left is the metal's designation from Mendeleev's periodic table Ag and the fineness 900, below in the center is the year of mintage '2002', below on the right is the weight of the precious metal in pure content 31.10 and the mint mark 'SPMD'. In the central part of a characteristic dotted rim is a double-headed eagle, and below it is the name of the coin's issuer 'BANK OF RUSSIA'.
