In the central part — a sailing boat with oarsmen and warriors firing rifles, on the left — a half-length depiction of Yermak holding a battle-axe, trees on a rocky riverbank, on the right — a fortification on a steep bank, at the foot — 4 archers in boats, in the background on the left — a sailing boat, on the right on the shore — trees, above against the backdrop of a river with a tributary — the text: TOBOLSK, at the top — two foxes holding a crown, a bow, and two crossed arrows, around the circumference — inscriptions: at the top — 'DEVELOPMENT OF SIBERIA XVI·XVII', at the bottom — 'YERMAK'S CAMPAIGN 1582·1585'.
Obverse
