    In the central part of the coin's disc — relief images of detachments of armed warriors — infantry, horsemen, and skiers; to their right — a potter at a wheel and a hut; to the left — a peasant reaping a field; at the bottom near the rim — an inscription on a ribbon with curled ends: 'MORDOVIA'; in the background — interiors of huts, on the right with a spinner at work, on the left — a woman by the stove; in the far background — relief and contour images of city blocks, construction cranes, a flying airplane; at the top near the rim — fragments of a national ornament.
