Reverse In the central part, an inscription in four lines: ЧИСТАГОЗОЛОТА1 ЗОЛОТН=39 ДОЛЕЙ. In the upper part of the coin (above the inscription) is the crown of the Russian Empire. Below the inscription runs a decorative line with a diamond in the middle and the abbreviation С.П.Б. (Saint Petersburg Mint). In the left part of the coin, along the edge, is a laurel branch, and in the right part, an oak branch. At the base, the branches are intertwined with a ribbon forming a bow. Raised denticles are minted around the entire edge of the coin.
Obverse In the central part is the State Emblem of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle with wings spread and lowered. On the eagle's chest is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). The heraldic shield, above the eagle's heads, is crowned with the imperial crown. The eagle holds thunderbolts and a torch in its right talon and a laurel wreath in its left, intertwined with the ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. Below the ribbon are letters: on the left 'П', on the right 'Д'. The initials of mintmaster Pavel Danilov. Above the eagle is the denomination designation — the circular inscription 'ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ.'. Below the eagle — the year of mintage '1825 ГОДА.'. The rim is decorated with short denticles.
