    The reverse of the coin features a spatial composition of the Pochayiv Monastery complex, above which is the Mother of God of the Protection (Pokrova). On both sides is a circular inscription: HOLY DORMITION POCHAYIV LAVRA.

    The obverse of the coin depicts: at the top, the Star of Bethlehem; below it, the inscription UKRAINE, the small State Emblem of Ukraine, and a three-line inscription: 2003, 10 HRYVNIAS. At the bottom is the imprint of the Mother of God's foot on a stylized summit of the Pochayiv hill, with seraphim to the left and right. Below that are the metal designation and its fineness in two lines: Ag 925, the weight in pure metal: 31.1, and the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine.
