    The upper part of the coin features the crown of the Russian Empire. The center is occupied by a four-line inscription: GOSUDAR= STVENNAYA ROSSIYSKAYA MONETA. Below the inscription is the abbreviation "S.P.B." (Saint Petersburg Mint). Along the left edge of the coin is a laurel branch, and along the right edge is an oak branch. At the base, the branches are tied together with a ribbon forming a bow. Below the bow are the initials of the mintmaster "Kh.L." (Khristofor Leo). The rim is decorated with raised denticles.
  • Obverse
    In the central part, arranged in the form of a cross, are five shields with coats of arms. The central shield depicts the Coat of Arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle with a scepter and orb. The top shield is the Moscow coat of arms, the bottom one is the coat of arms of the Siberian Tsardom. The left shield is the coat of arms of the Astrakhan Tsardom, the right one is the Kazan Tsardom. The top shield is crowned with an imperial crown, the other three shields are crowned with royal crowns. Between the circular coats of arms are four rosettes. In the upper part, along the edge, is the circular inscription "PYAT' RUBLEI" (FIVE RUBLES), divided by the imperial crown. In the lower part is the year of minting "1805 GODA." (1805 YEAR.), divided by a royal crown. The rim is decorated with denticles.
