    In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of the monument to Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky on Red Square in Moscow, against the background of the Cathedral of the Intercession on the Moat (St. Basil's Cathedral), as well as the towers of the Moscow Kremlin and other city buildings. At the top, along the circumference, the inscription: 850th Anniversary of the Foundation of Moscow.

    In the upper part, along the arc of the rim, the coin's denomination '100 rubles' and the year of minting '1997' are indicated; at the bottom, the words 'BANK OF RUSSIA'. In the center, within a dotted circle, is a double-headed eagle. Below it, on the inside of the dotted circle, on the left is the chemical symbol Ag and fineness 900, then to the right the manufacturer's (mint) mark 'MMD' and the pure weight of the precious metal in the coin '1000.00'.
