Reverse In the central part, an inscription in four lines: CHISTAGO ZOLOTA1 ZOLOTN=39 DOLY. In the upper part of the coin (above the inscription) is the crown of the Russian Empire. Below the inscription runs a decorative line with a diamond in the middle and the abbreviation S.P.B. (Saint Petersburg Mint). Along the left edge of the coin is a laurel branch, and along the right edge an oak branch. At the base, the branches are tied together with a ribbon forming a bow. The entire edge of the coin is stamped with raised denticles.
Obverse In the central part is the State Emblem of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle with wings spread and lowered. On the eagle's chest is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). The heraldic shield, above the eagle's heads, is crowned by the imperial crown. The eagle holds thunderbolts and a torch in its right talon and a laurel wreath in its left, both entwined with the ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. Below the ribbon are the letters: 'P' on the left, 'S' on the right. The initials of Mintmaster Pavel Stupitsyn. Above the eagle is the denomination designation — the circular inscription 'PYAT RUBLEY.' (FIVE RUBLES). Below the eagle is the year of mintage '1825 GODA.' (1825 YEAR). The rim is decorated with short denticles.
