    In the central part of the reverse are relief images of Kamchadals processing fish; to the left and right of them on a ribbon are the dates '1725' and '1730'. In the background on the left is a sailing ship, on the right is a fisherman in a boat; on the horizon are mountain outlines and clouds. Around the circumference is the text: 1st KAMCHATKA EXPEDITION.

    In the upper part along the rim arc is the coin's denomination 'THREE RUBLES'. Slightly below on the left is the metal designation from Mendeleev's periodic table, Ag, and the fineness 900. Below, in the center, is the mintage year '2003'. Below on the right is the weight of the precious metal in pure form, 31.10, and the manufacturer's (mint) mark 'SPMD'. In the central part of a characteristic dotted circle is a double-headed eagle, and below it is stamped the name of the coin's issuer 'BANK OF RUSSIA'.
