    In the central part of the coin's disc, on a mirror field, is a trumpeter of the Akhtyrsky Hussar Regiment on horseback, behind him is a marching military column with weapons and standards; in the background are a village, fields with haystacks and clumps of trees. Below is a shako above crossed weapons, standards, and military accoutrements; beneath them, an inscription along the rim: "PATRIOTIC WAR OF 1812".

    In the upper part, along the rim's arc, is the denomination of the coin "THREE RUBLES". Slightly below on the left is the metal's designation from Mendeleev's periodic table, Ag, and the fineness 925. Below, in the center, is the year of minting "2012". Below on the right is the weight of the precious metal in pure form, 31.10, and the manufacturer's (mint) designation "SPMD". In the central part of a characteristic dotted circle is a double-headed eagle, and below it is the name of the coin's issuer "BANK OF RUSSIA".
