Obverse
In the upper part along the rim arc is the coin's denomination 'THREE RUBLES', slightly lower on the left is the metal designation from Mendeleev's periodic table Ag and fineness 900, below in the center is the minting year '2001', below on the right is the weight of pure precious metal 31.10 and the manufacturer's (mint) mark 'MMD'. In the central part of a characteristic dotted rim is a double-headed eagle, and below it is stamped the name of the coin's issuer 'BANK OF RUSSIA'.
