Reverse

In the central part — a relief image of a standing woman in national costume, holding a khadak (guest towel) in her hands spread to the sides and a bowl in her right hand. In the lower part of the disc, on either side of the woman's figure — representatives of Buryat fauna: on the left — a Baikal seal, a mountain goat, a Barguzin sable; on the right — a bear, a deer, and an owl. Above the bowl at the top — two butterflies. In the background — relief and contour images of mountains. At the bottom along the rim — the text: BURYATIA, framed on both sides by elements of national ornament.

Obverse

In the upper part along the rim arc is the coin's denomination 'THREE RUBLES'. Slightly below on the left is the metal designation from Mendeleev's periodic table Ag and the fineness 925. Below in the center is the year of minting '2011'. Below on the right is the weight of the precious metal in pure form 31.10 and the manufacturer's (mint) mark 'MMD'. In the central part of a characteristic dotted border is a double-headed eagle, and below it is the name of the coin's issuer 'BANK OF RUSSIA'.
