    In the central part of the reverse is a relief image of football players during the final match of the European Cup between the USSR and Yugoslavia teams in Paris in 1960, which ended with the Soviet team's victory with a score of 2:1. On the left is an image of the Eiffel Tower and a cup with the inscription 'Paris', around the circumference text: European Cup. 1960. The goal of the Soviet team in this match was defended by the famous goalkeeper Lev Yashin. At the top around the circumference text: 100th Anniversary of Russian Football.

    In the upper part along the rim arc is the coin's denomination '1 ruble' and the year of minting '1997', below the words 'BANK OF RUSSIA'. In the center, within a dotted circle, is a double-headed eagle; below it, on the inner side of the dotted circle, on the left the chemical symbol Ag and fineness 925, then to the right the manufacturer's (mint) designation 'LMD' and the chemically pure weight of the precious metal in grams '7.78'.
