  • Reverse
The center of the reverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle, both heads of which bear crowns. A third, larger crown is above and between them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left an orb. Around the eagle, facing inward, is the text: •1757•IСАМОДЕРЖ•ВСЕРОСИСКАЯ
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by the right-facing profile of Empress Elizabeth I (Petrovna). Around the portrait is the text: Б•М•ЕЛИСАВЕТЪ•I•IМПЕРАТРИЦА• In the sleeve truncation is the medallist's mark — the letter 'YU' (Samuil Yudich Yudin). In the lower part, beneath the portrait, is the abbreviation 'S P B' (Saint Petersburg Mint).
