In the central part of the disc, on a light field — a propeller-driven monoplane in flight with a right bank. The color of the disc segment above it smoothly transitions from light to aquamarine. Below the aircraft, on a semi-segment of aquamarine color, within a light rectangle — horizontal text: I-16. At the bottom along the rim — inscriptions, on the left: «HISTORY», at the bottom and on the right on the aquamarine section of the field: «OF RUSSIAN AVIATION».
