    The center is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle with wings spread, both heads wearing crowns, with a larger third crown above and between the heads. Beneath the eagle's talons, divided by its tail, is the mint year — 1710. On either side of the eagle is text: on the right — 'POLUPOL', on the left — 'TINNIK'. The edge of the coin features a twisted dotted border.

    The center of the obverse is occupied by the right-facing profile of Peter I, crowned with a laurel wreath. Around the portrait is the text: TSAR: PETR ALEKSIEVICH V R P. The coin's rim consists of denticles.
