    In the central part of the reverse are relief images of sailing ships during the Battle of Gangut; to the left above them is a portrait of General-Admiral F.M. Apraksin, below it the text in a semicircle: F.M. APRAKSIN. Around the circumference are inscriptions: at the top on a ribbon - '300TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE RUSSIAN NAVY', at the bottom - 'BATTLE OF GANGUT - 1714'.
  • Obverse
    In the upper part along the rim arc is the coin's denomination '25 RUBLES' and the year of mintage '1996', below are the words 'BANK OF RUSSIA'. In the center, within a dotted circle, is a double-headed eagle; below it, on the inside of the dotted circle, on the left is the chemical symbol Ag and fineness 900, then to the right the manufacturer's (mint) mark 'MMD' and the pure weight of the precious metal in the coin '155.50'.
