  • Reverse
The center of the reverse is occupied by a double-headed eagle. Both of its heads bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is positioned above and between the heads. On the eagle's breast, under a crown and canopy, is the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Poland (a crowned single-headed eagle). In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter and a sword, and in its left, an orb. Below each talon are the initials 'I•' and 'B•', indicating the mintmaster Jakub Benik (J. Benik). Below the eagle is the year of mintage — '1817', divided by the eagle's tail and flanked on both sides by two six-pointed stars. Around the eagle is the text: 50 ZŁOT• POLSK• 26 Z GRZ• CZ• KOL
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse features the right-facing profile of Russian Emperor Alexander I. At the top is a six-pointed star, visually marking the beginning of the inscription: ALEXANDER I CESARZ SA• W• ROS• KRÓL POLSKI (Translation: 'Alexander I Emperor and Autocrat of All Russia, King of Poland').
