A third, larger crown is above and between them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). The shield is surrounded by the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left an orb. Around the eagle, facing inward, the inscription: 1751•APRIL (MAR13)• I•AUTOCRAT•OF ALL RUSSIA•
  • Obverse
Variant 1: The center of the obverse is occupied by the right-facing profile of Empress Elizabeth I (Petrovna). Around the portrait, the inscription: B•M•ELISAVET•I•IMPERATRITSA•
