In the upper part along the rim arc is the coin's denomination 'TWO RUBLES', slightly lower on the left is the metal designation from Mendeleev's periodic table Ag and fineness 925, lower in the center is the mintage year '1998', lower on the right is the weight of pure precious metal '15.55' and the manufacturer's (mint) mark 'SPMD'. In the central part of the characteristic dotted rim is a double-headed eagle, and below it is the issuer's name 'BANK OF RUSSIA'.
