The center of the reverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire—a double-headed eagle, both heads of which bear crowns. A third, larger crown is positioned above and between the eagle's heads. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow—a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. The eagle is surrounded by the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. Along the upper edge of the coin, facing inward, is the text: МОНЕТА РУБЛЬ 1730 (COIN ROUBLE 1730).
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse features a right-facing profile portrait of the Russian Empress Anna Ioannovna. From left to right along the edge runs the inscription: БМ АННА IМПЕРАТРИЦА IСАМОДЕРЖИЦА ВСЕРОСИСКАЯ (BM ANNA EMPRESS AND AUTOCRAT OF ALL RUSSIA).
