  • Reverse
    The center of the reverse is occupied by the inscription: 5GROSZYPOLS• A laurel branch is located at the left edge, and an oak branch at the right. The branches are tied together at the base with a ribbon.
  • Obverse
    The center of the obverse features a double-headed eagle. Both heads of the eagle wear crowns, and a third, larger crown is placed between them. On the eagle's breast, under a crown and canopy, is the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Poland (a crowned single-headed eagle). In its right talon, the double-headed eagle holds a scepter and a sword, and in its left, an orb. Under the right talon is the initial 'K•', under the left is 'G•'. These are the initials of mintmaster Karol Gronau. Above the eagle's heads is the issue date '1831', divided by the large crown.
