Reverse
The center is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle with wings spread, both heads wearing crowns, with a larger third crown above and between the heads. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. On the tail and to the sides of the tail are the letters 'ILL'. The mintmaster's mark of Johann Luvis LANG (Иоганн Лювис ЛАНГ — in Russian interpretation Ivan LANG). The state emblem is surrounded by the inscription 'МОНЕТА НОВАѦ ЦЕНА РꙊБЛЬ ҂АѰѲI', where the letters '҂АѰѲI' indicate the year of minting — 1719. The rim resembles a twisted rope — the traditional denticles are set at an angle to the ground.
Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by the right-facing profile of Peter I, crowned with a laurel wreath. In the sleeve truncation are the letters 'OK', the initials of the engraver Osip Kalashnikov. A circular inscription runs along the edge: ЦРЬ • ПЕТРЬ • АЛЕѯIЕВИЧЪ • ВСЕѦ • РОСИI • САМОДЕРЖЕЦЬ • The rim looks like a braided rope.
