Along the rim — a circular inscription running from bottom left to top right: '70TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE DEFEAT OF THE GERMAN-FASCIST TROOPS BY THE SOVIET FORCES IN THE BATTLE OF STALINGRAD', divided at the bottom by a star.
