  • Reverse
The center of the reverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire—a double-headed eagle, both heads of which bear crowns. A third, larger crown is above and between them. On the eagle's chest is the coat of arms of Moscow—a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). The shield is surrounded by the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left an orb. Below the right talon is the letter "E", below the left is the letter "I". The initials of mintmaster Egor (Georg) Ivanov. Above the eagle is the year of minting: "1767". Around the eagle, facing inward, is the inscription: МОНЕТА•РУБЛЬ•
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by a right-facing profile portrait of Empress Catherine II. Around the portrait is the inscription: Б•М•ЕКАТЕРИНА•II•IМП•IСАМОД•ВСЕРОС• In the lower part, beneath the portrait, is the abbreviation "М М Д" (Moscow Mint).
