  • Reverse
The center of the reverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire—a double-headed eagle, both heads of which bear crowns. A third, larger crown is placed above and between them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow—a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). The shield is surrounded by the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. In the eagle's right talon is a scepter, in the left—an orb. Below the right talon is the letter 'E', below the left—the letter 'I'. These are the initials of mintmaster Egor (Georg) Ivanov. Above the eagle is the year of mintage—'1754'. Around the eagle, facing inward, is the text: МОНЕТА•РУБЛЬ• (MONETA•RUBLE•).
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse features the right-facing profile of Russian Empress Elizabeth I Petrovna. Below is the abbreviation 'M M D' (Moscow Mint). From left to right along the edge in an arc runs the inscription: Б•М•ЕЛИСАВЕТЪ•I•IМП: IСАМОД: ВСЕРОС: (B•M•ELISAVET•I•IMP: ISAMOD: VSEROS:).
