Reverse
The upper part of the coin features the imperial crown. Below it, an inscription in four lines reads: CHISTAGO SEREBRA 2 ZOLOTN= 10 1/2 DOLY (Pure Silver 2 Zolotniks 10 1/2 Dolya). Beneath this is a straight line and the designation 'S.P.B.' (Saint Petersburg Mint). Along the edge, a laurel branch is on the left and an oak branch on the right. The branches are tied together at the bottom with a ribbon. The coin's edge is decorated with raised denticles.
Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by the lesser coat of arms of the Russian Empire—a double-headed eagle with wings spread. The eagle's heads bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is placed above and between them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow—a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). Surrounding the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. To the left of the coat of arms is the circular inscription 'MONETA', and to the right 'POLTINA'. Below the eagle is the year of minting '1819'. The inscriptions are separated from each other by three six-pointed stars. The rim is decorated with short denticles pointing towards the center.
