  • Reverse
The center of the reverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire—a double-headed eagle, both heads of which bear crowns. A third, larger crown is positioned above and between them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow—an oval shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). A chain bearing the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called encircles the shield. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left an orb. Above the eagle is the year of minting '•1756•'. Around the circumference, along the rim, is the text: MON•TSENA•DVA•RUBLI
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse features the right-facing profile of Russian Empress Elizabeth I Petrovna. From left to right along the arc near the edge runs the inscription: B•M•ELISAVET•I•IMP•ISAMOD•VSEROS
