The center of the reverse is occupied by a double-headed eagle. Both of its heads bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is positioned above and between the heads. On the eagle's chest, beneath a crown and canopy, is the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Poland (a crowned single-headed eagle). In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter and a sword, and in its left, an orb. Beneath each talon are the initials 'I•' and 'B•', indicating the mintmaster Jakub Benik (J. Benik). Above the eagle's heads is the mint year '1816', divided by the large crown. Around the eagle is a circular inscription: 5 ZŁOTYCH POLSKICH 17 211/625 Z GRZ• CZ• KOL•
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse features a right-facing profile portrait of Alexander I. Surrounding the portrait is the text: ALEXANDER I CESARZ SA• W• ROS• KRÓL POLSKI (Alexander I Emperor and Autocrat of All Russia, King of Poland). The text is divided above the emperor's head by a six-pointed rosette.
