In the central part, an inscription in four lines: 3/4РУБЛЯ.5ZLOT• Below the inscription is the year of minting — 1841. In the left part of the coin along the edge is a laurel branch, and in the right an oak branch. At the base, the branches are intertwined with a ribbon forming a bow. • Obverse
In the central part is the State Emblem of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two crowns, a third, larger crown above them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield with St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is on the right). Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. On the wings are depicted the titular coats of arms: on the right — Kazan, Astrakhan and Siberian; on the left — Polish, Taurican and Finnish. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left — an orb. Under the right talon is the letter 'Н', under the left — the letter 'Г'. The initials of Mintmaster Nikolai Grachev. The center of the obverse is enclosed within a beaded circle. In the upper part is an eight-petaled flower, visually indicating the start of the inscription: ЧИСТАГО СЕРЕБРА 3 ЗОЛОТНИКА 15 3/4 ДОЛЕЙ. The edge is decorated with dots.
