    The central part features the State Emblem of Russia — a double-headed eagle with raised, spread wings. The eagle's heads are crowned with two small crowns, with a third, larger crown above them. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. Around the eagle is the inscription: ••VSELѦ ROSII POVELITEL and the minting year in Cyrillic — 1707. The edge of the coin has a twisted dotted border.

    The center of the obverse is occupied by the right-facing profile of Peter I, crowned with a laurel wreath. Around the portrait is the inscription: TSAR• I• V• K• PETR• ALEKSIEVICH. The coin's rim consists of denticles.
