  • Reverse
The center of the reverse is occupied by the lesser coat of arms of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle, both heads of which bear crowns. A third, larger crown is placed above and between them. All three crowns are connected by a ribbon. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the left). A chain bearing the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called encircles the shield. The coats of arms on the wings (four on each wing): Kazan, Polish, Taurida, Astrakhan, Siberian, Georgian, Kiev and Novgorod, Vladimir. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left an orb. Below the coat of arms, an inscription runs in an arc from left to right: 10 RUBLES 1891 G. The rim is decorated with patterned teeth.
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse features the right-facing profile of Russian Emperor Alexander III. In the lower part of the coin is a five-leaf floral rosette, visually indicating the start of the inscription: B.M. ALEXANDER III EMPEROR AND AUTOCRAT OF ALL RUSSIA. The rim is decorated with patterned teeth pointing towards the center.
