    The central part features a three-line inscription: ҂ЯѰθ•ГРИВНЯБ*К indicating: the year of mintage in Cyrillic (1709), the denomination, and the mint mark. In the lower part, below the mint mark, is an ornament. The edge of the coin has a leaf ornament.
  • Obverse
    The center of the obverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire – a double-headed eagle. Both heads of the eagle bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is between them. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. Around the heraldic eagle is a dotted border. Beyond the border are the letters 'Ц * И * К * П * Я * В * Р * С *'. The rim is executed as an ornament of oak leaves.
