    The central part features the denomination 'MONETA RUBL' in two lines. Above the denomination is the Crown of the Russian Empire. Below the denomination is a decorative divider consisting of two oppositely directed ornamental lines with a small circle between them, featuring a raised dot in its center. Below the divider is the year of mintage '1843'. Along the left edge of the coin is a laurel branch, and along the right edge is an oak branch. The branches are tied at the base with a ribbon forming a neat bow. The entire edge of the coin is stamped with protruding denticles.
  • Obverse
    The center of the obverse is occupied by a double-headed eagle, the coat of arms of the Russian Empire. Both eagle heads bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is positioned between them. All three crowns are connected by a ribbon. On the eagle's chest is the coat of arms of Moscow – a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). The shield is surrounded by the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. The coats of arms on the wings: Left wing: Polish, Taurian, Finnish. Right wing: Kazan, Astrakhan, Siberian. In the right talon is a scepter, above it the initial 'M'. In the left talon is an orb, above it the initial 'W'. Together, the letters indicate the Warsaw Mint. The center of the obverse is enclosed within a thin, continuous braided border. At the top is an eight-petaled flower, visually marking the beginning of the inscription: CHISTAGO SEREBRA 4 ZOLOTNIKA 21 DOLIA. The rim is decorated with denticles pointing towards the center.
