  • Reverse
    In the upper part of the reverse is the crown of the Russian Empire. Below it, the denomination and monetary unit are indicated on two lines: 20 KOPѢEKKЪ. Next is a divider element consisting of two oppositely directed lines with a bordered dot between them. Below the divider is the year of mintage "1857". In the left part of the coin along the edge is a laurel branch, and in the right part an oak branch. At the base, the branches are tied with a ribbon forming a neat bow. Raised denticles are minted around the entire edge of the coin.
  • Obverse
    In the central part is the State Emblem of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two crowns, a third, larger crown above them. On the eagle's breast is the Moscow coat of arms, a shield depicting St. George the Victorious with a spear slaying a dragon. Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. The coats of arms on the wings: Left wing: Polish, Taurida, Finnish. Right wing: Kazan, Astrakhan, Siberian. In the right talon is a scepter, and above it the letter "M". In the left talon is an orb, and above it the letter "W". Together the letters indicate the Warsaw Mint. The rim is decorated with denticles pointing towards the center.
