  • Reverse
In the upper part of the reverse is the crown of the Russian Empire. Below it, on two lines, are the denomination and monetary unit: 25 KOPEKS. Next is a divider element consisting of two oppositely directed lines with a bordered dot between them. Below the divider is the year of mintage '1854'. Under the year is the abbreviation 'S.P.B.' (Saint Petersburg Mint). In the left part of the coin, along the edge, is a laurel branch, and in the right part, an oak branch. At the base, the branches are tied with a ribbon forming a neat bow. Raised denticles are struck around the entire edge of the coin.
  • Obverse
In the central part is the State Emblem of the Russian Empire - a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two crowns, and a third, larger crown above them. The Moscow coat of arms - a shield depicting St. George the Victorious slaying a dragon with a spear. Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. On the wings are the titular coats of arms: on the right - Kazan, Astrakhan, and Siberian; on the left - Polish, Taurican, and Finnish. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left, an orb. Under the right talon is the letter 'H', under the left - the letter 'I'. The initials of Mintmaster Nikolai Iossa. The central part is separated from the rest of the design by a circle of dots. Outside the circle is the text: PURE SILVER 1 ZOLOTNIK 5 1/4 PARTS, divided at the top by an eight-petal flower. The rim is decorated with short denticles.
