  • Reverse
The upper part of the reverse features the crown of the Russian Empire. Below it, the denomination and monetary unit are indicated on two lines: 10 KOPѢEKS. This is followed by a divider element consisting of two elongated, oppositely directed figures with a dot between them. Below the divider is the year of mintage '1856'. Under the year is the abbreviation 'S.P.B.' (Saint Petersburg Mint). On the left side of the coin, along the edge, is a laurel branch, and on the right, an oak branch. At the base, the branches are tied with a ribbon forming a neat bow. Raised denticles are struck around the entire edge of the coin.
  • Obverse
The central part depicts the State Emblem of the Russian Empire – a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two smaller crowns, and a third, larger crown above them. On the eagle's breast is the Moscow coat of arms, a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback spearing a dragon. Surrounding the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. The titular coats of arms are shown on the wings: on the right – Kazan, Astrakhan, and Siberian; on the left – Polish, Taurian, and Finnish. In the eagle's claws are a scepter and an orb. Below the claws are the initials 'F' and 'B', indicating Mintmaster Fedor Blum. The rim is decorated with denticles pointing towards the center.
