Reverse In the upper part of the reverse is the crown of the Russian Empire. Below it, the denomination (with six-pointed stars to the left and right) and the monetary unit are indicated on two lines: 10 КОПѢЕКЪ. Below that is an element—a separator consisting of two oppositely directed arrows with five dots between them. The five dots form a cross. Slightly below the decorative separator is the coin's year of minting '1883', beneath which is the abbreviation 'С.П.Б.' (Saint Petersburg Mint). On the left side of the coin, along the edge, is a laurel branch, and on the right, an oak branch. At the base, the branches are tied with a ribbon, the knot of which forms a bow. Raised denticles are minted around the entire edge of the coin.
Obverse In the center is depicted the Small State Emblem of the Russian Empire—a double-headed eagle, whose heads are crowned with two coronets, and a third, larger crown above them. All are connected by the ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle. On the eagle's breast is the Moscow coat of arms, within the shield St. George the Victorious on horseback spearing a dragon. Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle. The coats of arms on the wings (four on each wing): Kazan, Polish, Taurida, Astrakhan, Siberian, Georgian, Kiev and Novgorod, Vladimir. In the eagle's right talon is a scepter, and in the left, an orb. Under the right talon is the letter 'Д', under the left is the letter 'С'. The initials of Mintmaster Dmitry Sabaneev. The rim is decorated with denticles.
