  • Reverse
In the upper part of the reverse is the crown of the Russian Empire. Below it, on two lines, are the denomination and monetary unit: 25 KOPĒEKS. Next is a divider element consisting of two oppositely directed lines with a bordered dot between them. Below the divider is the abbreviation 'S.P.B.' (Saint Petersburg Mint). In the left part of the coin, along the edge, is a laurel branch, and in the right part, an oak branch. At the base, the branches are tied with a ribbon, the knot of which forms a bow. The coin's edge is decorated with a toothed rim.
  • Obverse
In the central part is the State Emblem of the Russian Empire – a double-headed eagle with wings spread and lowered. Above the eagle's heads is the imperial crown. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow – a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). The eagle holds thunderbolts and a torch in its right talon and a laurel wreath in its left, intertwined with the ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. Below the ribbon are the letters: 'H' on the left and 'Г' on the right. These are the initials of mintmaster Nikolai Grachev. Below the initials is the year of mintage '1828', flanked on both sides by six-pointed stars. The rim is decorated with short denticles.
