Obverse In the central part, the full Coat of Arms of the Grand Duchy of Finland is depicted – a double-headed eagle, the heads of which are crowned with two crowns, a third, larger crown above them. All are connected by the ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. On the eagle's chest is a shield with the titular coat of arms of the Grand Duke of Finland, crowned with a princely crown. Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left – an orb. Below the tail, on the right, is the mark of the Director of the Helsinki Mint – the initial 'L', Johan Conrad Lihr. At the bottom, along the edge, in a semicircle, the text: FINLAND SUOMI separated by a stylized rosette of seven dots. The rim is decorated with denticles.
