In the central part, an inscription in three lines indicating the denomination and year of mintage in Cyrillic: KOPEIKA1718. Above the inscription is a raised counting dot. The dot denotes (duplicates) the coin's denomination. Below the inscription: the letter L, the mintmaster's mark of lohann Luvis LANG (Ivan LANG in Russian interpretation) or without the mintmaster's mark. Along the edge of the coin is a twisted dotted border.
Obverse
In the central part of the obverse is St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is on the right). The coin's rim consists of denticles.
