  • Reverse
The upper part of the reverse features the crown of the Russian Empire. Below it, the denomination and monetary unit are indicated on two lines: 10 KOPEEKS. Below that is a decorative divider consisting of two pointed lines with a circled dot between them. Under the divider, the year of mintage '1843' and the abbreviation 'S.P.B.' (Saint Petersburg Mint) are indicated on two lines. On the left side of the coin, along the edge, is a laurel branch, and on the right, an oak branch. At the base, the branches are intertwined with a ribbon, the knot of which forms an elegant bow. The coin's rim is decorated with protruding denticles.
  • Obverse
The central part depicts the State Emblem of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two crowns, and a third, larger crown above them. On the eagle's chest is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is on the right). Surrounding the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. On the wings are depicted the titular coats of arms: on the right — Kazan, Astrakhan, and Siberian; on the left — Polish, Taurian, and Finnish. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left — an orb. Under the right talon is the letter 'A', under the left — the letter 'Ch'. The initials of Mintmaster Alexei Chadov. The rim is decorated with denticles.
