    The center of the reverse is occupied by the coat of arms of the Russian Empire – a double-headed eagle, both heads of which bear crowns. A third, larger crown is placed above and between the eagle's heads. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left an orb. Below the right talon are the letters 'SP', below the left 'B', denoting the Saint Petersburg Mint.
