The central part features a four-line inscription: 25 KOPIEK 50 GROSZY. Below the inscription is the year of mintage — 1845. Near the left edge of the reverse is a laurel branch, and near the right edge, an oak branch. The bases of the branches are tied together with a ribbon, the knot of which forms a bow. The rim is decorated with raised denticles.
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse is occupied by a double-headed eagle — the coat of arms of the Russian Empire. Both eagle heads bear crowns, and a third, larger crown is positioned between them. All three crowns are connected by a ribbon. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). The shield is surrounded by the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle. The coats of arms on the wings: Left wing: Polish, Taurian, Finnish. Right wing: Kazan, Astrakhan, Siberian. In the right talon is a scepter, above it the initial 'M'. In the left talon is an orb, above it the initial 'W'. Together, the letters indicate the Warsaw Mint. The central part is separated from the rest of the design by a beaded circle. Outside the circle is the text: CHISTAGO SEREBRA 1 ZOLOTNIK 5 1/4 DOLY (Pure Silver 1 Zolotnik 5 1/4 Dolya), divided at the top by an eight-petaled flower. The rim is decorated with short denticles.
