The center of the coin is occupied by the monogram of Peter I — four crossed letters 'P' (for Petr), between which are four signs 'İ' (I with a dot above). Inside the monogram, the first two digits of the minting year '17' are indicated on the left, and '25' (1725) on the right, separated by the crossing point of the monogram's letters. Around the entire circumference of the coin's edge is an inscription, divided by four imperial crowns: МОНЕТА ♚ НОВАѦ ♚ ЦЕНА ♚ РꙊБЛЬ ♚. The edge of the coin features a twisted border.
  • Obverse
The center of the obverse features a right-facing profile portrait of Peter I, crowned with a laurel wreath. Below the sleeve's edge are the letters 'OK', the initials of the medallist Osip Kalashnikov. Around the portrait is the text: ПЕТРЪ А ИМПЕРАТОРЪ IСАМОДЕРЖЕЦЪ ВСЕРОССИIСКИI. The rim appears as a braided rope.
