  • Obverse
In the central part, the State Emblem of the Russian Empire is depicted—a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two crowns, a third, larger crown above them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow—a shield with St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle the First-Called. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left—an orb. Under the right talon is the letter "F", under the left—the letter "G". The initials of mintmaster Fedor Gelman. Along the edge of the coin, near the rim, there are relief elements in the form of a double border.
