Reverse In the central part — a three-line inscription: 1 MARKAA 1874. Oak branch wreaths are placed along the left and right edges of the coin, not touching at the top. The branches are tied at the base with a ribbon forming a double bow. The rim is decorated with raised denticles.
Obverse In the central part, the full coat of arms of the Grand Duchy of Finland is depicted — a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two crowns, a third, larger crown above them, all connected by the ribbon of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle. On the eagle's chest is a shield with the titular coat of arms of the Grand Duke of Finland, topped with a princely crown. Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the Apostle. In its right talon, the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left — an orb. Under the left talon is the mark of the Director of the Helsinki Mint — the initial 'S', August Frederick Soldan. Around the central image is a twisted border. Outside the border, the text: 94.48 KAPPALETTA NAULASTA SELWÄÄ HOPEATA, divided at the top by a six-petal flower. The rim is decorated with denticles pointing towards the center.
