In the central part is the State Emblem of the Russian Empire — a double-headed eagle, its heads crowned with two crowns, a third, larger crown above them. On the eagle's breast is the coat of arms of Moscow — a shield depicting St. George the Victorious on horseback, slaying a serpent with a long spear (the serpent's head is to the right). Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called. In its right talon the eagle holds a scepter, and in its left an orb. Under the right talon is the letter 'Ф', under the left — 'Г'. The initials of mintmaster Fedor Gelman. In the upper part, above the eagle, along the rim is the circular inscription '1810' — the year of minting. To the right of the date is a small circle with a raised dot in the center. To the left of the coat of arms is the circular inscription 'МОНЕТА' (COIN), to the right — 'РУБЛЬ' (RUBLE). The rim is decorated with denticles.
